SeeOneSoul Photography visually tells stories ... and I would love for the next story to be yours!

In order for you to decide whether you would like me to be the teller of your story, let me tell you a little of my story :) You know, just so that we can establish whether we can or want to connect and work together and create something amazing :)

btw: if you don't want the story, but just in bullet-point form what type of work I can do for you, scroll to the bottom of the page ... then you can scroll back up and read the story ;)

Everyone is telling photographers these days that they need to specialise and find their niche so that potential clients (in this case you) will view them to be credible and good at what they do, because after all, specialisation indicates that they are expert in their field, right? Right ... maybe, maybe not ... depends what you define as specialised or specialist.

You see, I am not exclusively a wedding photographer, though I have a passionate love for small and intimate weddings or civil services. I get so incredibly excited with and for the couple, I love to hear their plans and ideas when we meet, I can hardly wait to see and hear all about the stationery, the cake, the flowers, the venue, the dress and everything else! Each wedding is so unique and so special and so amazing, and I feel honoured and privileged to be a part of that couples amazing day, and privileged and honoured to be given the task of creating images in keeping with the theme and energy and look and feel of their magic day.

I do a lot of portrait work, both in location and in studio, but I am not exclusively a portrait photographer. The thing I get told quite often by people who come to me for portraits, is "Tina, I hate having my photo taken, I just don't like the way I look in them, but so-and-so has insisted I get a photo done, so I thought I'd better". Well, I have my work cut out then, don't I! *chuckles* But invariably I have clients who relax during the shoot, begin to enjoy the process and have a few laughs. Invariably I have clients who love the images that come out of such sessions, buy their prints, book another shoot (with family or partner or for a friend etc) and walk away from the whole experience well pleased.

I cover a lot of events and functions etc, but I am not exclusively an event photographer. But I get a thrill out of merging with the energy of an event and fading into the general fibre of the event (if you can believe a six foot blonde to merge and fade) Event organisers give me a spec of what they would like out of the coverage, which gives me a framework to work to, but beyond that I can become a part of the energy of the event, read it and capture images that tell a story. What a delight!

I do a lot of landscape and travel photography because, well, I travel a lot! And I am passionately in love with this world we live in, so it is a privilege for me to be photographing all these amazing places in our world and bring back images to share :) That does not make me exclusively a landscape photographer or travel photographer, but my extensive library of images created during my travels is finding an audience it appeals to and it is being used both commercially and as prints for the home or office environment. How fabulous is that?!

Ok, so you get it lol ... I'm passionate about my photography. But what about the niche or speciality to give you a greater sense of confidence at my expertise.

Well, let me tell you about my speciality, my niche.

I am a creative person, visual, a "problem solver", a people person, a communicator (and I'm forever looking for ways to become a more effective communicator) because there is one major driving force behind it all.
I got asked by a good friend the other day, if I could put into one word what my life is all about, what would that word be. Drum-roll please lol ;)

One word: Connection!

Connection is what I seek out, it's what I seek to achieve, it's what I aim to facilitate ... it's the one thing that gives me joy and satisfaction like no other. Yes, true connection is that fulfilling! :)) My life is all about people and context and connection. So although I can and do stretch across various fields, largely because I gained a lot of my experience in photography aboard cruise ships where a contract generally lasts 6 months, you are contracted to work 10 hours a day but that doesn't mean you can't work more and you work 7 days a week, your camera gear becomes like an added appendage, it and you fuse, you become one, and seriously, I feel naked when I walk out the door without my camera kit! Whew! That was a sentence and a half (or more)!

So my photography experience stretches across quite a broad spectrum of fields, but what I unfailingly look for is the connection!

This is why I say:
I specialise in wedding photography and image creation for individuals, artists, craftsmen & women, small groups and small to medium enterprises as the service I provide through SeeOneSoul Photography is bespoke, tailored to YOU.
